Legal Aid Works® is a non-profit corporation that provides free, high-quality, civil legal assistance to low income individuals and families. We have three offices located in Fredericksburg, Tappahannock, and Culpeper to better serve area residents.

We are funded by a wide range of local individuals, churches, banks, agencies, governments and organizations, including the Rappahannock United Way.

WHY donate to Legal Aid Works® ?

Unlike the constitutional guarantee for legal representation in criminal proceedings, domestic violence victims seeking protective orders, veterans looking to secure their benefits and poor families trying to stay housed do not have the same representation when going up against their abuser, the government or their landlord. At Legal Aid Works®, we champion fairness for those with the least access to the civil justice system and do so across 17 of the most vulnerable counties in the state of Virginia.  Visit our ‘Donate‘ page to #dojustice TODAY!
